The Lord wants to deal with areas where we have boarded up places that block the light of His word.

Psalm 119:130
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. (NKJV)

Psalm 51:6
Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place. (NIV)

Pray the following:
Father, reveal to me what is affecting my ability to receive the truth of Your word.  Show me what to do with this.  Jesus, I ask You to come and remove the blocks, boards, and walled-up places.  Take any pain, hurt, shame, disappointment, fear, or control associated with this.  Holy Spirit, come heal, fill, and give life to my entire being with the love of God, Your presence, and the promises of Your word.  I receive the light of Your word into my heart.  I agree with Psalm 51:6.  Let it be so in me, in Jesus' Name.
